An alternate to the classic controller

I like the new Wii classic controller.

I do.

It looks just like the old SNES controller but white and prettier. But, what most people don't know is that it doesn't work by itself. Almost every picture on the net shows it with a cord going to..........nowhere. It actually connects to the wiimote, much like the nunchuk. So although its wireless, it isn't. Not really. And, like most Wii owners will tell you- the batteries drain fast. Damn.

Luckily, with the backward compatibility of the Gamecube- you can substitute the classic controller for the Gamecube controller. So long as you don't mind sitting on the floor (gasp!) its fine. You save batteries. You save money. Period.

I was able to buy a GC memory card, a 'gamestop' Gamecube controller, and Resident Evil (GC) game under $25. (A Wii classic controller costs $20-$25) Plus, I can use the GC controller for the majority of virtual console games. Just a heads up to future Wii owners. You can go cheap. It won't kill you.
